Fostering Skills, Empowering Lives
On January 9th and 10th, 2025, Fosroc India, in collaboration with INSTRUCT, successfully conducted a two-day skill development training program at Nirmiti Kendra, Suratkal, Mangalore. To empower masons and unskilled personnel, this initiative reflects our commitment to community enhancement through skill development and technical training.
The event witnessed the active participation of 48 unskilled workers, who were introduced to essential construction techniques and product applications that are vital for their professional growth and day-to-day efficiency.
Day 1: Focus on Waterproofing and Tile Adhesives
The first day of the training concentrated on basic waterproofing and tile adhesive solutions. Attendees were provided with an overview of modern waterproofing techniques, with live product demonstrations showcasing their application during construction. Following this, a detailed session on tile fixing solutions was conducted, covering the effective use of different tile types of adhesives to ensure durability and efficiency in tile installations.
Day 2: Masonry Works
The second day focused on masonry works, starting with a comprehensive briefing on the types and techniques of masonry. This session emphasized practical applications and provided insights into best practices for achieving quality workmanship.
The attendees actively engaged in the sessions, gaining valuable knowledge that they found highly beneficial for their professional endeavours.
